Sony Announce Sale On PSOne Titles…And It’s Quite Good Stuff

Following E3 2013, we now find ourselves in the slow countdown period for the release of the PS4 this Winter, and Sony has decided to make that wait a bit more bearable by celebrating the history of the original PlayStation/PSX/PSOne. Alongside a publicity drive on Twitter (#PlaystationMemories – some of the tweets people are sending in are pleasantly nostalgic), they are running a sale on the PlayStation Store discounting some of the greatest games that ever appeared on the loveable old grey lump of plastic and metal. PSOne Classics Now Available To Play On Your PS Vita

As of today, Sony have been rolling out a new firmware update for the PS Vita handheld console (v 1.80) which will finally allow Vita users to play games from the PSOne Classics range. The update has been a while coming; I for one thought that it would be a feature from launch (considering the PSP has the functionality, whats the difficulty in doing the same on a superior piece of technology?), and it has been a few months since Sony made the announcement at E3. Still, better late than never, and now all Vita users can indulge in some hardcore nostalgia.
